The Aplastic Anemia and Myelodysplasia Association of Canada is raising awareness about these serious bone marrow failure diseases with "LifeBlood" bracelets. We hope that when you wear your bracelet others will ask about it — giving you an opportunity to tell them about our association. The red and white colours represent the body's red and white blood cells, which are essential for life. Many patients with aplastic anemia, myelodysplasia, and PNH depend on regular blood transfusions to live, because their bone marrow does not produce healthy blood cells. In some cases a bone marrow transplant is possible.

LifeBlood bracelets can be purchased from the national office. They are just $20 for 10 bracelets. Please use the merchandise order form to order them. Single LifeBlood bracelets are available for $2 each at AAMAC chapter and national events.

The Tree of Life is a way of recognizing those who have been affected by aplastic anemia, myelodysplasia, or PNH. You may make a tax-deductible donation of $150 to have a special person's name inscribed on the tree. This beautiful carved tree is on display at our Annual General Meeting and other meetings in the Toronto area, whenever possible. The rest of the time it hangs on the wall at the national office.
