Treatment and Support :: Medication Funding

Not all medications used to treat bone marrow failure diseases are approved for use by Health Canada. However some may still be available through a special access program.

Medications to treat bone marrow failure diseases can be expensive.

The following links contain information about private and provincial funding for some medications used to treat bone marrow failure diseases.

NOTE: This is not a complete list.

Patients with bone marrow failure diseases should consult hematologists or oncologists who are familiar with the diseases and who know what medications are currently available.

If you have a specific question that is not answered, please contact us. Social workers at local hospitals are also useful resources and often familiar with local funding and assistance programs.
