Research :: Clinical Trials
Bone marrow failure patients may be able to access new treatments through clinical trials.
Clinical trials are sponsored or funded by a variety of organizations or individuals such as physicians, medical institutions, foundations, voluntary groups and pharmaceutical companies. In addition, federal agencies, such as Health Canada, may also sponsor or fund clinical trials.
To find out more about clinical trials, or to participate in a clinical trial please speak to your hamatologist. You doctor can tell you if you are eligible for a particular trial and explain the potential risks and benefits so that you can decide if you're interested or not.
For general information about clinical trials, ask AAMAC for a free booklet.
